CNY 2015 Angpow

As usual routine on Chinese New Year, I need to complete my half day 'part time' job at Stulang Laut. 

Here the reward, tadaaaa...

Not a big amount but enough for some pocket money, or enough for filling up full tank with Ron95 hahaha. Thanks for generously willing to give me Angpow.

UMWOG [5243]: Market Listing & 1st Week Performance

Recap to the previous post, UMW Oil & Gas Corporation Berhad enter the market on 1 November 2013. As mentioned before, I put recommendation for long-term, buy-hold. 

Now let's see OMWOG 1st day listing performance;

OPEN: RM 3.00

HIGHEST: RM 3.180

CLOSING: RM 3.100

# RM200-300 profit margin if u grab it from IPO since it offer price during IPO RM 2.80

1st Week Performance (1 Nov - 8 Nov 2013);

As at 5 p.m 8 November 2013, UMWOG closed at RM 3.120

Highest achieved during 1st week at RM 3.220 (4 Nov)

However, highest closed at RM 3.180 on Monday, 4 November markets

My expectation, in one year ahead period, OMWOG already double it price per unit. And for current, analyst predict that since it stable and strong above RM 3.00, there was a potential for it keep moving.

Movie Review #2: Escape Plan

Enjoy movie alone? No problem.

The actual plan, I wanna watch it at GSC Pelangi Leasure Mall since that was the last day GSC operations there, also last GSC cinema in Johor Bahru. But due to some unexpected circumstances, location changed.

                                         

 

Escape Plan starring Rambo and Terminator action heroes, Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger. Stallone as Ray Breslin, spent his life as a professional jail-breaker under Federal Bureau of Prisons in order to test maximum security facilities of each prisons built.

A successful breakout depends on THREE things;
1) knowing the layout
2) understanding the routine 
3) and help from outside or in

However, Breslin being trapped after agreeing to take on one last job which escaping from a high security and high-tech prison called The Tomb. The Tomb is a private prison for the 'disappeared' among terrorists, warlords, and high-level gangster. The Tomb also has been built based on Breslin's own book, which in the other words, no one can break out of it. Inside the deal, Breslin given a 'code' and 'contact person' in case things goes wrong. Did the 'code' really have in function?

Breslin was 'kidnapped' with unmarked van, drugged, and imprisoned without any knowledge of his location. Inside The Tomb, Breslin be friends with Emil Rottmayer, Schwarzenegger, and together, they begin to explore their limited hope for escape, against the prison's warden, Hobbes.

I enjoyed the movie, and great to see Stallone and Schwarzenegger partner together on organizing their 'escape plan'. Level of violence also acceptable to be watched.

Final Malaysia Cup 2013: Congratulation Pahang!!

3rd November 2013; Pahang FA lifted their third Malaysia Cup after 21 years waiting. Matias Conti second half goal enough for The Elephants 1-0 victory over the defending champion Kelantan at the Shah Alam Stadium.

Here are some facts from the match:
Goal scorer: Matias Ruben Conti, 23 y/o, Argentina
For this Malaysia Cup 2013 edition, Conti played 11 times (all matches), scored 9 goals include 1 hat-trick and without received any cards. He also the top scorer, sharing with Marlon Alex James (played 9 games & 3 yellow cards).

Head Coach: Dollah Salleh, 50 y/o
21 years ago, he lifted Malaysia Cup as a Pahang player and yesterday he lifted it again as a head coach. Enter Malaysia Cup Final three times with Selangor MPPJ (2003), Selangor (2005) and Pahang (2013) and succeed give the victory to the teams.

Match Hero: Khairul Azhan Khalid, 24 y/o
Registered as third goalkeeper behind the senior, Nasrin Nourdin & Rosfaizul. Given chances after main keeper faced injury during Super League season. He succeed to prove Dollah Salleh his ability and grab 1st selection for this 2013 Malaysia Cup Edition even though  Nasrin & Rosfaizul already fit from injury. During Final match yesterday, Khairul or called Yan made few important save and block to reward clean sheet for Pahang.

Captain: Jalaluddin Jaafar, Defender, 38 y/o
Birth at Pekan, Pahang, Jalal becomes the oldest player in the field for Malaysia Cup 2013 edition. Began professional football career with Pahang in 1997. His career circulated only with at Pahang and Shahzan Muda FC (Pahang based club). With Pahang the already lifted Premier League Champion (1999), Super League (2004), Malaysia FA Cup (2006).  This is his first memorable Malaysia Cup victory and also his last Cup since he announced to retire as a footballer end of the season.
